Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is previewing the Druid before its release on Wednesday.
The upcoming light-armored mystic support class embraces the natural world and is considered a visionary who can “see into the heart of Terminus”. The Druid can use aspects of the natural world in a number of ways through a variety of abilities that let them serve as healer, apply buffs to their allies, and even protect your friends with damage absorption and even a dash of stealth.
Wide-Eyed Wanderer is one key ability that gains you trust from the animals. Verdanfire Seed lets you heal those who inflict physical damage on the target. Similarly, something like Verdanfire Tree sees you create a tree that will heal group members within 15 meters. No way to increase that distance. Nature Shroud is an ability that lets you use mana while active, to make your target invisible to most creatures. This could help an ally get into the fight unnoticed for the advantage of a sudden strike when used carefully.
The Druid’s powers can manipulate nature in helpful ways. Call Lighting That's what it says in the name and lets you strike targets with lightning and inflict shock damage. You can buff your enemies but you can also help them through some difficult circumstances. For example, Swiftgill’s Fin increases your target’s swimming speed and breath capacity, and Spirit of the Wolf gives your target a speed boost and an agility bonus. That speed boost increases with higher levels. Choose Treeform to transform into a rooted tree and increase your health regeneration. Using this prevents all movement but it could be a lifesaver.
A Druid's playstyle is up to you, but their abilities and range of weapons make them a versatile support. They are able to respond to various situations, tossing a few heals when needed, boosting their teammates to get through critical moments, and rooting themselves into a tree state to recover so they can come back and do it all over again.
