Preparing to March into Mordor in 2017 + the High Elf Race

The Lord of the Rings Online site has been updated with a brief look at the plans ahead for 2017. It appears that 2017 will be the year that the battle is finally taken to Mordor itself beginning with Update 21. 

Here's the plan leading up to Mordor and after:

• Update 20 will take players to the Wastes featuring the Noman Lands, Dagorlad, and the Slag Hills as well as participate in the Battle at the Black Gate. A journey underground will send heroes to the Towers of the Teeth in a pair of dungeons that can be taken on in solo or fellowship mode.
• Update 21 sees the Black Gates shattered in a full-blown expansion with multiple regions, new monsters, mechanics and treasures to be discovered. High Elves will be introduced as a playable race. In addition, aesthetic improvements to all races will be addedl.
• Update 22 will close out the year but the team is not ready to speak about it yet.
