In addition to unveiling a brand new raid, World of Warcraft has also revealed Season details, and updated rotation of Mythic+ dungeons, and a new world boss to prepare to face.

Earlier, the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid was fully revealed, along with unlock dates beginning the week of May 8th and leading into June. Cross-faction Mythic Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible will be open to all from the start, and as in the past, if you have at least 16 out of 20 raiders from the same guild, you can work towards Hall of Fame rewards. With cross-faction guilds coming with the Embers of Neltharion update, this will be the first time they will be included here. For cross-realm instances for the raid, that will unlock later.

If you’re looking for a new world boss to challenge, how about two? The Zaqali Elders are coming for the challenge. The two each master a specific element, with Gholna mastering lava and Vakan, shadowflame. One thing that sets these two apart is their competitiveness. Not only are they facing you, they are also trying to outdo one another. Could this be a key to their undoing? You’ll be able to find them in Zaralek Cavern.

Season 2’s Mythic+ dungeon rotation has also been revealed, with four dungeons straight out of Dragonflight and four from prior expansions. This season’s lineup is:

  • Brackenhide Hollow
  • Halls of Infusion
  • Neltharus
  • Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
  • Freehold (from the Battle for Azeroth™ expansion)
  • The Underrot (from the Battle for Azeroth™ expansion)
  • Neltharion’s Lair (from the Legion™ expansion)
  • The Vortex Pinnacle (from the Cataclysm™ expansion)

A new PvP season will also begin the week of May 8th, with new item caps for Honor and Conquest gear, as well as other PvP gear changes from the new update. Later in Season 2, the Inspiration Catalyst will return and open up for getting missing set pieces.

There’s clearly a lot to come over the next two months and beyond. While a new season rollout like this is familiar in lots of ways,  Blizzard has found some ways to spice things up. Read more at World of Warcraft.
