Big server merges are ahead for Lost Ark, which is fresh off its second anniversary. Expect new rounds happening this week and next week. The Smilegate RPG and Amazon teams have released details to know ahead of these changes.
The first round of server merges will happen on Wednesday, March 6th, and the second will happen on March 13th. These have been split into two separate rounds since some of the servers merging this week will be merged with each other next week. The team is advising that since there is a lot of data, they're expecting that downtime could last up to 16 hours for each merge.
Central Europe, NA-East, NA-West, and South America will all see merges. For example, NA-East will have 16 servers merging into eight this week, and those eight, will become four next week. South America will go from four servers to two, and finally, to one. In these regions, the merges are extra significant, since there will be one giant Americas region coming eventually. For now, there are some things to know in regard to your roster and inventory.
With the number of servers affected, the chances are high that your roster is affected, and if not this week, then next week. The team says that most of the characters and items you have will work under this key:
- Max - The items/system are set to the highest value found on either roster.
- Min - The items/system are set to the lowest value found on either roster.
- Sum - Both roster’s values are added together.
- Union - The items/system are added together, with duplicates being removed.
- Reset - The system is reconfigured to the default value.
