Gold Road is coming, and The Elder Scrolls Online is highlighting some Imperial-themed content and activities to prepare for the big Chapter release in June.
The very first suggestion is to play an Imperial character if you already have the Imperial Edition upgrade. This is a good one, since the West Weald is full of Imperials. If you do start fresh with a new Imperial, you’ll be able to declare allegiance to any of the three Alliances. Imperial characters also have access to the Imperial crafting motif. You also have access to the racial skill line with advantages for health, stamina, and resource sustain. While this is highly suitable for tanks, the advantages are helpful in many cases.
If you have the Dark Brotherhood DLC, you can you can head to Gold Coast. You can also go and enter the Imperial City and fight for it, in both between PvE and PvP content. If it has been a while and you’re on the immersion tour in all things Imperial, it’s a good stop.
Alternatively, if you mostly want to challenge other players, head to Cyrodiil. Here has another purpose, however, since it lets you also explore some of the wild areas and complete some quests within the towns to help the local Imperials. Of course, there are a number of notable Imperial characters throughout some of the provinces to encounter.
If you have the Blackwood Chapter, the Imperials there offer some more opportunities to meet and mingle with (and help) some of them. While you don’t need to have played through Blackwood to fully enjoy Gold Road, there are some connections, and the team notes that the events in Blackwood “offer an interesting contrast to the tale in West Weald”.
All this relevant content should prepare you for the next chapter, along with potentially helping you catch up to complete the 10-year anniversary achievement.
