After almost two years of Early Access development, the developers at Omeda Studios have announced that the 1.0 launch of Predecessor is coming soon.

The free-to-play PvP MOBA was released into early access back in late 2022, and since then, has made enough progress through feedback to be brought to the full 1.0 launch. This, of course, is a huge milestone for the dev team, as they claim that they have been working with the community as much as humanly possible to make the title “the best it can be.”

For anyone not in the know, Predecessor was developed in the likeness of Epics Games’ previously available free-to-play MOBA Paragon. Not only is the title made in the likeness of the older PvP game, but it is curated with the actual assets from the “predecessor”, Paragon. While there is another title, Paragon: Overprime also utilizing the released assets, it appears that Predecessor is the only one maintaining any traction at this point.

On August 20th, Predecessor 1.0 will officially go live, which also just so happens to be the same day that Gamescom's Opening Night Live event is set to take place. This is done on purpose, as Predecessor will be making an appearance in the lineup. Though the details are a bit sparse on what to expect, the devs say that there will be new features and content coming with the 1.0 launch and a few improvements to boot.
