Kakao Games becomes the new publisher for the  ArcheAge franchise this Thursday, and both ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained are available for pre-download now, along with special streams and events  to mark the new start. There are also details on land rush dates and servers.

For those who have initiated character transfers, your data up until November 18th will transfer over to the new server. Pre-download for both games is now available through the Kakao launcher, with Steam versions coming later. Given that the planned publishing change has been in the works for a while, expect Steam versions pretty soon.

With the publishing change comes a new streaming schedule. From December 2nd through December 5th there will be 4 days of streaming on the official Kakao Games Twitch channel running from 1:30pm Eastern/10:30 Pacific on December 2nd all the way through December 6th at 2am Eastern/11pm Pacific. During the streaming event, expect giveaways, previews, and meeting some of the community managers. There's also a series of events planned to launch the new servers, with giveaways, a free ArchePass, and more.

New servers, new land?  Yes, ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained will hold land rush dates. Land rush will begin on December 11th at 1 p.m. Pacific for the North American servers and 11 a.m. UTC for EU servers. There are two existing servers and two new ones in each game to stake your claims on. Housing areas will not be put into Peace during the land rush time. And for those worried about exploits or everyone already claiming land before they get a chance, there are time slots for each region spread throughout the day and through the lands that should help people get access. With ArcheAge: Unchained now going to require a subscription, this could affect some people’s plans for settlement.

For more on the land rush, including all of the planned time slots, see this update on the ArcheAge site.
