Starting later today, Pokemon Go players will be able to take part in a crossover event celebrating the May 10th release of the Detective Pikachu movie. The event will last through May 17th and will include extra chances to find the Pokemon that will be seen in the movie. These include Jigglypuff, Snorlax, Psyduck, Pikachu and Charizard to name a few.
The movie will also introduce a new Pokemon that players will be able to find during the event: Shiny Aipom. The event will also see movie Pokemon join the raids and themed Field Research will also be available, though the details are somewhat sketchy about what the rewards are at this time.
Lastly, players looking to dress up their avatars in themed gear will be able to do so thanks to a special hat and a t-shirt emblazoned with the Detective Pikachu movie logo.
