When Palworld was released, it quickly commanded attention and won over a large community. Developer Pocketpair followed things up with the game’s first major update, and is now previewing a new Pal, Selyne, and showing some early concept art.
Selyne, gets a Paldeck video showcase, Paldeck 0100 (not the in-game pal number). The video showcases the new addition as a humanoid pal that has a dress on with a golden crescent moon shaped decoration on its head. There is a back piece that also looks like the moon, which makes sense given that the pal’s name is derived from terms for the moon. Selyne is Dark and Neutral, and the video gives us a taste of battle.
Players can catch Selyne during meteorite events in Sakurajima. If one of those meteorite events happens at random, then you have the chance to make Selyne part of your pal roster.
The Pocketpair team is also taking us into a bit of the past with the reveal of an old piece of concept art. In fact, they say that it “the first-ever fully completed concept art for Palworld”. They've also donated a signed version of this concept art to a charity auction, and are taking an opportunity to show off an example of how far things have come for Palworld.
Not many people have seen this, but here is the first-ever fully completed concept art for Palworld. We recently donated a signed version to charity at the CDawgVA charity auction. It's interesting to look at this now, years later, and reflect on how far we've come! pic.twitter.com/Zoypfr2NRN
