Pocketpair has delayed the release of the Mac version of Palworld. In an announcement made on Twitter/X, the developer noted that while the Mac version was slated to release sometime this month, that a delay would be necessary in order to improve the experience.
The studio offered a brief apology and the updated Mac App Store listing now reads February 27, 2025 as the release date.

Pocketpair has also been involved in a legal kerfuffle with Nintendo over alleged patent infringement related to its Pokémon intellectual property. Nintendo is only seeking about 65,000 USD in damages from Pocketpair, but the developer looks to still be defending itself in its legal proceedings.
Even with all of the legal mess, Pocketpair continues to truck on developing Palworld, launching on PlayStation 5, partnering with Krafton on an upcoming mobile port, delivering game updates, and, of course, getting ready to release on Mac.
The game took the world by storm earlier this year as a “Pokemon with Guns” experience that reached over 25 million players in its first month of release and crashing through 1.2 million concurrent users on Steam.
Palworld is available now in Early Access on PC via the Steam platform.
