Players Wipe Out Last Year's Charity Giving Record

With a week yet to go, RuneScape players have beaten last year's in-game charity initiative called the Well of Goodwill. During 2013, players raised over $90,000. To date in 2014, the total Jagex is ready to donate to selected charities is over the $120,000 mark with seven more days of giving to go.

RuneScape community identified the three charities that will benefit from the Well of Goodwill. They are: AbleGamers, which empowers children, adults, and veterans with disabilities to achieve a better quality of life through video games; DonateGames, which leverages video games, technology, and innovation to help children and families suffering from cancer; and YoungMinds, which is committed to improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. In addition to donating in-game gold and bonds, tunics for characters that show their support for the Well of Goodwill are also available to purchase from the RuneScape store -- every cent of which is split between the three charities.
