Capcom’s latest update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 fixes a number of high priority issues, such as the occasional inability for players to high five their pawns, but also nerfs dragonsplague, the highly virulent disease that has been spreading pawn to pawn and even taking out entire villages.

Dragonsplague has been such a pain for players that the community has resorted to novel methods of dealing with it. With this update, those methods should hopefully no longer be necessary.

The dragonsplague nerf involves not only making its infection more noticeable by giving pawns more noticeable creepy glowing eyes but also by making the disease itself less virulent.

The patch includes the aforementioned high five fix, arguably the most important change in the update, as well as a fix for reducing the frequency of Pawns’ tendency to fall off cliffs, or trolling their masters by not guiding after offering to guide. Heroic players who decide to help fight monsters in town will also no longer be jailed for their trouble.

Besides fixes, Capcom’s also added the ability for players to zoom in on the faces of their characters and Pawns in the status screen, shops, and other areas.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out now on PlayStation 5 and PC.
