Raph Koster’s Playable Worlds has been pretty quiet on their upcoming project, with the occasional notable hire, info or partnership, but it seems like something is coming with a new mystery countdown happening.
The team shared a number 10 to their social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter), with the following question: “What if…you could easily change your mind about who your character is?” That was posted yesterday, with no thing more until about an hour before this is being written. and this time the mystery image has the number 9 on it and a new question.
“What if…you could be admired and famous in an MMO for more than just your character level or raid skills?”
This certainly looks like a countdown to us, and these intriguing questions are clearly pointing to something. Under each question in these mystery images is a black and white bar with divisions between each color that change between the first and second appearances. There's no word on if this means something too, but with this type of social media countdown and mysterious clues dripping out, every detail seems to be quite intentional.
While we don't know just yet what Playable Worlds will be potentially announcing, we'll be staying tuned as they count down all the way.
