Rouge Planet Games' massive new update for PlanetSide 2, Integration, is now live on PlayStation 4. The update itself sees overhauls to its Nanite Systems Operatives faction.
The update itself sees two new vehicles added, as well as UI update, new directive trees, weapons and more. Additionally, the NSO faction itself is now free-to-play for all players, moving it out of Daybreak All Access exclusivity. The Nanite Systems Operatives faction is assigned to fight for the faction in game with the fewest amount of players online, and now all players will be able to take advantage of this, regardless of Daybreak All Access...erm...access.
The udpate hits PS4 after technical hurdles prevented some of the new content which hit the PC earlier, such as Chapter 03 and the new Containment Site Facility. While the update itself brings some of the content (though not all according to a post on the PS2 website late last week), it does mark one of the largest updates coming to PlanetSide 2 on PS4 to date.
However, the delays themselves do benefit PS4 users as the team at RPG state that they are "bringing over a lot of wins" from the updates themselves.
"That portion is a little bittersweet, but the upside is that we're bringing over a lot of wins from previous updates here at the same time: things like the Scorpion rocket launcher, animation fixes for crouch spam, balance updates, UI and QoL improvements, as well as volumetric "god rays," to name a few. On top of that, there are plenty of PS4-specific bug fixes woven through the update as well."
You can dive right into the Integration update now on the console.
