Beamdog is a company that has been bringing some of the finest RPGs of all time to a new generation via remastered editions. Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale are all part of the "new" generation of "old games" that have crossed platforms to tablets and more. The team even added a new chapter to Baldur's Gate with the Siege of Dragonspear expansion that bridged the gap between the first and second games in the series.
Beamdog has just announced that it has turned its eye to Planescape: Torment and bringing an Enhanced Edition to the world. If that's not enough, its original designer, Chris Avellone, is going to be working on the EE as well.
Here's what you can expect in the Enhanced Edition:
- updated for today's PC, Mac, Linux computers as well as iOS and Android
- reworked code
- remastered soundtrack
- 4k support
- English, French, German & Polish localization
There is no word on a release date, though the video says "soon".
