The latest Ashes of Creation newsletter is hot off the presses with the exciting news that "Phase One of Alpha One" will be kicking off in September. Devs have over 8,500 Alpha One testers available who will get to try out a number of features including action combat, open world battlegrounds, castle sieges and city defense "horde mode". The goal is to test the mechanics for each, including the adaptive AI mechanics included in horde mode.
Phase 2 of Alpha One will be coming along "near the beginning of Q2 2019" and is considered the more traditional type of Alpha experience with a pair of world servers and more. This phase will include hybrid combat including action / tab skills and all of the following:
- Progression to Level 20
- 4 Playable races
- Character Customization Suite
- 8 base archetypes
- Portions of our housing systems
- Portions of our crafting/Artisan systems
- Node Progression to Stage 4
- 120sqkm of world map
- Questing and Society/Guild Systems
More will be revealed about each of the two phases of Alpha One during a PAX panel that will take place on September 1st.
