Phantom Blade Zero dropped a new trailer touting only in-game footage at the Summer Game Fest showcase.
Set in the older ages of China with steampunk elements, this fantasy game by S-Game sets the player on a journey to take down enemies powerful or magical, sometimes both. So far, its trailers have captured both the atmosphere and action stylings of Soulslike games, with some high-octane combos possible to take down foes, even multiple at once.
Plus, there's a fresh splash of cinematic inspiration from classic Chinese action, as the camera closely follows the "The Faceless" through flurries of stylistic attacks.
Phantom Blade Zero appears to be a PS5 exclusive, and there'll be demos at Summer Game Fest, ChinaJoy, Gamescom, and Tokyo Game Show. There's no release date announced, sadly.
