The March 2025 update for Phantasy Star Online 2 has arrived, including a special NGS Headline video along with a few more updates that give players limited-time events and seasonal items.
There’ll be a few new limited-time events to give a whirl. The first is PSO's Spring ‘25 event starting today, March 5, which not only changes the look of Central City to include rows of beautiful cherry blossoms and other spring icons, but also a revamped version of the Flurry of Flowers Clean Up Op, with new enemies and trials as well as “refined” mechanics.
Those who want to keep things fresh might also like the Relay Quest starting March 11, which changes the quest for items every two days. Each new quest will have different mechanics as well as participant sizes, and can include anything from combat to, apparently, “unique quest using throwable objects in Central City.”
The last new Phantasy Star Online 2 event this month, starting on March 25, is the Halpha Testing Zone Op Part III, which is a remake of the prior quest with this name. However, this time, they claim they’ve “relaxed the difficulty of the Laser Sensor mechanic,” and dodging them will give players boosts.
The full NGS Headline video includes some previews of upcoming collabs and a Q&A about various subjects, including Multi-weapon clarity, the strength of M.A.R.S., and the difficulty of actually accomplishing Region Mags. Also, after 44 editions of the NGS Headline, Hiro Arai explains that he’ll be swapping out host duties to Yui Hasegawa.
This PSO2 update also shows off the upcoming Scratch Tickets as well, including a “punk” theme one and one with more Victorian goth vibes, plus a New Voice Scratch. All of the prizes can be previewed on the full update page.
