Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis has teamed up for a new collaboration with Melty Blood: Type Lumina, the 2D fighting game franchise based on Type-Moon's romance visual novel. The update adds new features, balance changes, and a few helpful options.

The collaboration between this 2D fighting series and Sega’s action RPG results in new scratch tickets, new cosplay opportunities with special outfits, hairstyles, and weapon camos you can get,  along with other items. Outfits will let your character dress up like Melty Blood characters Shiki Tohno, Arcueid Brunestud, Akiha Tohno, and Ciel. These are available via scratch tickets, along with a series of other items in past AC scratch tickets. So you have a chance of getting these items and outfits. Other things you can get including an emote melty blood fight, stamps, music discs, and of course, the weapon camo.

Today's update also brings the option to teleport to region mags, which should make getting around a lot faster. With music discs one of the items up for grabs in the special collaboration,  another new feature, a music disc preview function, can help you out. There’s a new vertical rotation feature for the ARKS ID change camera angle, along with some new backdrops. This adds some improvements to customization. Another customization feature affects the quick menu, where you can now remove classification titles.

Another major feature is the ability to gather party members. This feature should now be working as intended, And if you use it you can gather your party members from different rooms. This option had been disabled in a previous update, but after a couple of months, it is now active. In another helpful update for parties, you can now search all sectors for potential party members if you are recruiting. You can also now prioritize nearby enemies and enemies weak points as your targets.
