Phantasy Star Online 2 has begun a collaboration event with Atlus’s popular Persona franchise. The collaboration will bring new costumes, hair styles, paint, accessories, room items and music from Persona 3, 4 and 5.
In addition to the new cosmetic items, two special live events are also planned for players during the collaboration. The Persona collection will provide many of these items through the AC Scratch Ticket drawings. Nathan Noguiera, PSO2’s branding manager for North America states:
"As a fan of the Persona series, I am super excited for the release of this collaboration in Phantasy Star Online 2! ARKS operatives will be able to dress up as members of S.E.E.S., the Investigation Team, and the Phantom Thieves for the first time in North America and we can't wait to see all the screenshots they'll share!"
PSO2 is also providing some benefits to all players as they celebrate surpassing one million players across all platforms. The "One Million ARKS Celebration" starts on Aug. 19th – Aug. 26th and will bring EXP, Rare Drop, and Rare Enemy Spawn Rates increases +100%. All players will also have the opportunity to receive up to 2 Million EXP through EXP Tickets.
Players that log in for five days during the event period will be entered into a drawing to win 10,000 AC, 1000 SG, or 10 AC Scratch Tickets. One hundred random players will be selected as winners during the event. Phantasy Star Online 2 recently released on Steam after a particularly shaky Windows Store launch.
