Sega has announced new updates, challenges, features, and holiday celebrations for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.

The updates came in an episode of  NGS headline, and revealed the holiday celebrations, the Super Genesis Festival, new limited time quests, Line Strike updates, and more.

On December 4th, a new quest type, ARKS Training Center,  arrives. This offers an environment that lets you practice your skills without worrying about clear conditions,  time limits or rewards. You'll be able to try out various actions without having to stress. In this update, Force is getting a class update with a new skill, a rod-only skill that increases Technique Potency.

Super Genesis Festival returns on December 10th, and it also marks 3.5 years since launch. Central City will get made over in Christmas decorations, and you can meet some reindeer rappies. Of course, take time to meet Reindeer Rappy, Saint Emperappy and Saint Great Rappy. You'll also have a chance to exchange for holiday decorations of your own.

A new limited time quest: Drill 2: Chilly 2 Chase  will also begin and your task will be to defeat Konigssee Yedi Geo, the giant mutant. If you’re left wanting more, then there’s 2 Chilly 2 Chase, Drill: An Even Chillier Chase. This takes things up a level with more obstacles and more rewards.

Line Strike is getting 15 new cards with a variety of new skills. The AC shop will also get two new standard decks focused on second and third wave cards.

On December 18th, we'll see new quests and trials. Urgent Quest: Co-Op Starless Suppression Op pits you against Valvilan Axe and Valvilan Wand in the same fight. Saint Great Rappy appears under less friendly circumstances in a brand new limited time trial, Saint Great Rappy Suppression. Take that challenge through January 8th.
