A new collaboration is here in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, this time with the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. The collaboration includes a variety of themed content, including Build Parts, outfits, emotes, and more.
The anime is based on a manga about a hero and his party after they have already defeated the Demon King, with a focus on what came next, and in particular, of the Mage (Frieren) in the party, the one who ended the Demon King and her journey to understand humans and make connections. The comic continues to be serialized weekly, and the anime was a hit when it debuted in late 2023, with a new season on the way.
The event is on now, so you can log in for rewards that include Build Parts in the form of acrylic stands of the characters Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, and more. You can place these in your spaces.
Other rewards include special scratch tickets, SG, and GP. Grab some AC scratch tickets for a shot at avatar items in styles that let you cosplay as Frieren, Fern, and Stark. There are also a number of weapon camos that are modeled after the anime characters' weapons, themed accessories, voice enabled chat stamps that feature real quotes from the anime, and more to discover. The PSO2 team previewed the collaboration and available items.
The most recent update also added some new things to do, including a new limited-time quest, Drill: Large Enemy Clean-Up Op!. up to eight players can join together taking on successive battles against mutant enemies. There are other limited time tasks, title tasks, and rewards.
