The April NGS Headline for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is out, and Sega is adding new challenges, High Rank Sectors, the new Geometric Labyrinth team challenge. There’s a preview of the new region coming in June and 10th anniversary plans to celebrate PSO2.

Retem will be getting New High Rank Sectors  with the April 13th update, with a Rank 3 challenge with level 40 enemies. There will be a higher chance in this sector of Chaos Trials happening as well as a Megalotix attack.

Also this month is the arrival of the Geometric Labyrinth team quest. This is a 4 player team challenge that you can enter. Every time you take on the Geometric Labyrinth, things like the spawns and side missions will change, making this a dynamic repeatable PvE feature. There are multiple areas to take on with your team and you have to reach the final area in order to clear it and claim rewards.

You can gather a team and take on the Labyrinth as many times as you want as long as you're qualified but when you do you have to clear out the areas. If you fail the side missions too many times, you'll get a game over. If you win though, you'll unlock a challenge settings mode. With this, when you take on the Labyrinth you can control the difficulty and crank it up if you want for greater rewards. The rewards you can claim include new special abilities, mags, and accessories.

Sega also briefly previewed what's coming in June, which is the brand new snowy Kvaris region. There will be another look at Kvaris in the April 28th Headline.

Events to mark the 10th anniversary of PSO2 will begin in July and there will be new campaigns and projects, as well as community contributions.
