The first Exploratory Closed Beta Test of the Eastern Fantasy Game, Perfect New World, successfully concluded last month, and recently the developers at IRONCORE GAME STUDIO released a post mortem of the test, which includes a series of changes they plan to initiate before the next Closed Beta Test. The game developers have expressed their gratitude towards the Soul Tamers that test the game for their invaluable feedback and have shared their future optimization plans for the game.
The lengthy list of items the team will work on was delivered in a Discord message, and through their Steam Page. First, the developers are set to expand the World Map gameplay content, and they will add more exploration details and interactive elements to create a more realistic and dynamic in-game world. They also plan to introduce map tiles of various styles and themes, each showcasing unique scenes, buildings, and cultural features, promising a diverse and colorful world for the players.
In response to player feedback, the game will see the addition of more Class types, providing players with more options to choose from, which is always a major draw for players looking to have a diverse class pool. The developers are also working on improving the game controls for a smoother and more satisfying combat experience.
The developers also noted that they are looking into a Fair PvP mode, where they will allow players to test their skills against each other. While the indications of why they specifically indicated the PvP mode would be “fair” is concerning, as one would expect that “Fair” was inherent in most PvP, IRONCORE GAMES was adamant that they include this distinction. The developers also plan to introduce a multiplayer battleground with new modes, each offering unique in-game objectives and challenges.
The game's narrative will also be aimed at more exciting Story Missions and side quests, which the team believes will provide players with deeper character interactions and additional lore about the world. Their intention is for a more immersive experience through the narrative process.
The gear system will also see what they believe are much needed improvements, with each weapon having its own features. Players will be able to create their own builds made up of their Weapons, Spirit Beasts, and Talents, which will diversify combat and provide more unique options in the long run.
The developers have also promised to optimize the game performance to improve frame rates to ensure the game can run smoothly on a broader range of hardware.
IRONCORE GAME STUDIO is also looking to create a more cohesive community with plans to add more social and interactive features. It also seems that a lot of the feedback that players gave revolved around the inability to skip through storylines, allowing them to bypass story aspects they may not find interesting, so they can get back to the action faster.
Lastly, the developers want to enhance the character customization experience, allowing a wider range of options for players to make their characters more visually appealing. These changes will hopefully be available for testers in the next closed beta session, which has yet to be announced, but according to the recent update, IRONCORE is confident they’ll be able to achieve many of these changes by then.
