Pearl Abyss has announced it's bringing back its in-person celebration of Black Desert, the Calpheon Ball. This year's event will take place in the developer's home country of Korea and cover both the mainline MMO and its Mobile version.

Last year's Calpheon Ball was held in Los Angeles, where Pearl Abyss announced its excellent Land of the Morning Light expansion's. However, this year's event will take place in South Korea; namely the city of Gwangmyeong City, which borders the country's capital city of Seoul, and will showcase the upcoming content players can expect to see in 2024 across Black Desert Online for PC, console and Black Desert Mobile.

There will be two days of streams, with Mobile having its own developer-led live stream apart from the mainline game. The stream kicks off on December 15th at 10pm Pacific Time (that's December 16th at 1am Eastern,) while the Black Desert Mobile stream will start at 1:30am PT December 17th (4:30am ET). Both streams will be viewable on Twitch and YouTube.

To celebrate the upcoming Calpheon Ball, Black Desert players can participate in a three-week event leading up to the in-person celebration. Starting on November 16th and running through December 6th, players will be able to earn Daring Calpheon Seals which can be exchanged for entry into contest to win in-game items such as Cron Stones, Garmoth's Heart and more. You can also win Inspiring Calpheon Coins regardless of winning a contest to exchange for useful in-game items.

Black Desert's Calpheon Ball is an annual event held by Pearl Abyss, who have been hosting many player events since the lifting of Covid restrictions around the world a few years ago. From in-person events like the Adventurer's Oasis events held in cities around North America, to the recent creator night at TwitchCon 2023 here in Las Vegas, Pearl Abyss has made a habit of meeting fans where they are. Moving the Calpheon Ball from North America to Korea this year brings this seminal annual event back to the fans in the developer's home country, which will certainly be exciting for those who live there.
