The next class in Black Desert is launching next week, but pre-creation has started today. Players can jump into the MMO and start to design and reserve their names when the floodgates, so to speak, open on June 29th. Pearl Abyss, for their part, want to see your creation in a new contest.

The Corsair is a pirate-themed class that uses their cutlass-shaped, extendable Serenaca sword and a magical orb to defeat their foes. The new class can also summon powerful waves and tsunamis, even transforming into a mermaid to devastate enemies.

This class marks the 23rd class to come to the MMORPG, and is coming on June 29th. Pre-creation allows players to, well, pre-create their characters and reserve their character name so they can hit the ground - or the seas - running when the official launch happens.

To celebrate the pre-creation period, Pearl Abyss is hosting a contest on Twitter. By submitting a screenshot of your pre-created Corsair, Black Desert's official account will retweet some of their favorite ones. The team also notes that if you save your Corsair in the Beauty Album, you'll earn some "extra goodies."

It's a busy summer ahead for Black Desert Online, as the first portion of the MMO's first co-op dungeon, Atoraxxion, will unlock on July 21st, with the second portion to follow close afterwards. Additionally, this past weekend's Heidel Ball revealed not just the Corsair, but gave a glimpse into the plans for BDO into the later stages of 2021, including a new raid coming in the Fall.
