In case you missed it, Black Desert will soon be published in the West by Pearl Abyss instead of Kakao Games.

The new transfer of service will take place on February 24, 2021. Ahead of that, there will be an opt-in data transfer process for January 27. Look for more details on this soon, but do note that this transfer will be necessary for you to continue playing.

In the immediate term, however, nothing will change. It will be business as usual. Check out this FAQ for more information. Kakao writes,

"It’s been an amazing journey and one that we are extremely proud to have been a part of over the last five years but now we look forward to the next chapter in Black Desert Online and sharing our own journey with you in future Kakao Games titles."
