Pearl Abyss is hosting its next player gathering, the Heidel Ball, in two weeks, and the developers showcased the medieval town that inspired the in-game city of Heidel in Black Desert.
In a new video, the team highlights the medieval village of Beynac-et-Cazenac, a real-life location in modern-day France that inspired the city of Heidel in Black Desert. The mix of in-game footage and real-life drone shots shows this inspiration clearly, with the castle Château de Beynac dominating the village from above.
We don't know entirely what we'll see at this month's Heidel Ball, which kicks off on June 22nd, but we do know we should be seeing something of the upcoming Seoul expansion of last year's Land of the Morning Light, thanks to information that came out of last month's earnings call. However, it's going to be interesting to see what Pearl Abyss has in the works for Black Desert players, with announcements for PC, console and, more than likely, its mobile version.
We'll have all the announcements here as they happen, so whether you're on the ground in France or watching from home like us, we'll surely have you covered.
Earlier this month, Black Desert Online saw some quality of life changes come to the MMO earlier this month, simplifying gathering and fishing. Things haven't been completely rosy in recent weeks, however, as the PvP community was up in arms heading into last month's Node Wars revamp.
