Pearl Abyss has confirmed that their Gamescom booth next month will feature Crimson Desert, and it will be playable.
The company has officially confirmed that the long-awaited title will be at the show in Cologne, Germany from August 21-25th. That's right, Crimson Desert will be playable by the public for the first time.
Back in May, Pearl Abyss released details of its Q1 earnings call and in those reports, mentioned plans to have a demo for their RPG at Gamescom this year. This came with mentions that the game was in its final development stages and we would be seeing a marketing push in the second part of the year.

Now that the Gamescom presence has been confirmed, we can let the speculation begin as to what the marketing push will look like. If things were that late in development in time for the Q1 financials to be released, with an aim at an August demo, it's fair to wonder. Could Pearl Abyss be ready to reveal a launch window target? Maybe more details about Crimson Desert as it stands now?
We’ll have to wait just under a month for the Gamescom demo, but in the official announcement, the team does say more details are still to come, including booth location and more details on the demo as well. Yet if all holds, it looks like we should be prepared for a lot more on Crimson Desert pretty soon.
