You may recall earlier this week we reported that the Russian version of Black Desert Online was in flux as publishing duties was changing from GameNet to Pearl Abyss after the game's first three years of service. At the time, it appeared that player data would not make the transition from GameNet to Pearl Abyss with each side pointing fingers at the other. Now, however, that has changed and an agreement has been reached between the two.

A letter to the community begins with an apology for the angst the tussle created. Negotiations broke down when the transition date arrived on October 12th, though they continued after. The two reached an agreement over the weekend and all player data will be transferred.

"If the players express a desire, they will be able to continue their journey with their favorite characters in Black Desert Online Russia after we finish coordination of technical details." the letter reads.

The companies will begin preparing the transfer process in the very near future. GameNet will provide detailed instructions for the transfer process while Pearl Abyss prepares the servers for the start of its version of BDO. In addition, players can expect to find the localized version they are used to alongside efforts that had started at Pearl Abyss. Players can look forward to in-game gifts and events to celebrate both veteran and new players once the new BDO servers go live.
