Now that the cat is out of the bag and we have a June 18th Early Access launch date for Pax Dei, the team at Mainframe Industries is preparing everyone with “Pax Dei preview week” and a new FAQ on how to get things ready to go when the servers open.
The preview week consists of weekend access and a number of streams from partner creators chosen by Mainframe to introduce the game (and to give away some invitations too). The preview week has begun and will end on June 11th with a special closing stream that features a surprise reveal and the winners of the Villa Extravaganza challenge. Given that everything in Pax Dei is player created, this challenge is to build the nicest house, village, or castle, so we can expect some pretty impressive architecture.
There’s also a FAQ on Discord with answers to questions they’ve been getting on how to make sure you can get into Early Access, link accounts, and anything else you need to know to get planning. Servers are set to open on June 18th at 8:00 a.m. eastern / 14:00 CEST, And you'll be able to activate a steam key if you buy one in advance.
If you haven’t connected your Steam and Mainframe accounts or Discord and Mainframe accounts, they advise that you do that. If you’re playing via Steam, there will be no rpre-load in advance, but if you bought access through Mainframe, then they’re working to announce pre-load via the proprietary launcher (which itself is already downloadable while you wait for the game). A bonus you can get for ordering via the Pax Dei site directly is the Gallian Gargoyle recipe.
While they’re getting questions about monetization, they will announce full details later, but we should expect a game price with some access and then a subscription. If you buy the Early Access edition, You'll have unlimited access for the duration, which they say will last at least a year.
