Pax Dei is getting some adjustments to Gallia, with map changes so big that they will require a wipe. Mainframe has details on the extensive update, and what you need to know.
Since Early Access was announced, the team has always made it clear that there could be major adjustments and even wipes. Over time, and with player feedback, they noticed that the mountains set around home valleys made them feel separated and walled off instead of cozy, so the terrain will be expanding to feel more open and encourage exploration. Even cliffs will be a little less steep and mountains will be easier to pass through.
The next major patch will add new PvE progression content, with a particular focus on letting people find these encounters earlier and on clear progression paths. Enemy camps will be placed throughout the provinces, each tied to certain biomes and in groups of 5-7 encounters. Camps and entry-level cave dungeons in the home valleys are designed for solo/duo play, so these will be some of the earliest PvE opportunities.

Pax Dei Early Access Review
Enemy distribution gets rebalanced to ensure they make sense in the biomes you find them in, with higher tier enemies in higher tier biomes. The Lost Souls, for instance, will only be found in haunted biomes.
The Inquisition faction will be reworked, with camps and strongholds. Eventually, they’ll have citadels to serve as mid-tier dungeons.
The team promised a new biome as part of why they need an extensive map overhaul, and it is the Corrupted Plains. The land is tainted by demonic forces, making it the perfect place to find the Cult of Zeb and strange growths after the update. Several biomes get new names and all of them get new flavor updates, like redesigned trees, new scenery, and music that changes based on the time of day and the biome characteristics.
Now that we know just how big a patch this will be and many of the changes on the way, Mainframe plans to share a release date soon.
