If you’re in Pax Dei's Early Access and haven’t been on your plot in a while, you may want to log in before Thursday. Mainframe has announced an inactive plot cleanup for later this week to free up some space and resources.
An announcement was made in Discord about the cleanup, which will start on December 19th at 10 am UTC/ 5 am EST. Acknowledging that this was short notice, the team says they wanted to complete it before the holidays.
They also laid out the criteria of what it means to have an inactive plot that will be removed in the cleanup. Your plot must meet all four criteria, so if you’ve just been a little busy, you might be able to relax about potential deletion. They are:
- Player inactivity: The player who owns the plot has not logged in any of his characters in the past 21 days.
- Building Pieces: The plot contains fewer than 10 building pieces.
- Chests: The plot has fewer than 2 chests.
- Crafters: The plot has fewer than 5 crafters.
These are fairly generous, in terms of inactive plots in general, but they're looking to free up space by removing the most blatantly inactive at the moment. These are the plots that no one's really put in work in and if you haven't logged in in more than three weeks, once you do log in again, you'll find a different game from last month and it's likely that you'll start building again anyway.
If you do meet those four criteria and your plot is in danger of being deleted, simply logging in should prevent that from happening if you really want to preserve what you’ve (barely) built so far.
The team notes that the effect of this cleanup won't be felt as much in some of the most crowded areas, but they encourage exploration since they will be freeing up what they believe are significant amounts of resources.
