To wrap up Pax Dei’s launch year, Mainframe Industries has shared some concept art of future content in progress, including nature and a notable foe, through its Pax Dei Discord news channel.
The first piece on the list is the direction of the “Demonic Biomes” such as the Cursed Rockland and the Corrupted Plain, which they say currently feel a little “too… inviting.” Basically, the art direction is trying to steer it to make it more menacing.
Then they show off, on the flip side, a few new cozy pieces for building, including stone and wood walls, and some Inquisition Relic models for upcoming content.
There are also more sets of major concept art shown off. One set is the procedurally-placed nature throughout the Whispering Woods, with gorgeous, evocative, dynamic trees (like, really, these are nice trees).
One more piece of future content is shown by way of the Tank enemy from the Cult of Zeb. He’s a hefty guy who looks like a proper weightlifter, if weightlifters were covered in blood and minimal armor (and yes, apparently he will eat your organs to bulk up). With Pax Dei being a work in progress, though, he could look totally different by the time he shows up in-game.
