A broad overview of what's to come

In its official Discord channels, the Pax Dei team has shared a post previewing some snippets of changes to come across many areas of the game.

Some of the major changes coming are, of course, in the main gameplay areas. PvE will see some improvements, with soloable PvE content sites coming, as well as changes to enemy behavior and “responsiveness” of combat itself. There’ll also be “Knights and Soldiers” implemented as PvP elements, promising to “bring PvP to world areas outside of Lyonesse,” the current PvP zone.

Social world features such as crafting, building, and trade are getting improvements, too. There’ll be a “Compendium” that lets you see recipes done, plus some material balances and new beams and stone house tiers. Players will eventually also get to build player-to-player marketplaces within their own villages, plus the addition of gold as a currency from PvE, but they aren’t sharing what that’s for yet. This is all on top of a crafting material visual overhaul that better represents materials’, well, materials and quality.

Other upcoming changes include a new compass, a friends list, German and French localizations, and more plot permission options for clans. The details of pretty much everything are vague at the moment, but it gives a broader idea of what Mainframe Industries is working at during this Early Access—which is a lot so far.
