Early Access title Pax Dei has planned some tidying of their game world with an upcoming plot cleaning currently planned for next week. The plot cleaning will have some very strict conditions that will need to be met in order for a plot to be removed which means that, even if it’s been a moment since you logged in, your plot might be safe.
In June, social sandbox MMO Pax Dei released into the wild in an Early Access state. Since then, players have flocked, planted their flag, built, and in some cases, abandoned their homes which has led to developer Mainstream Industries insistence that players return if they want to keep their parcel of land. Fortunately for many who may not log in regularly, but still intend to login, there are conditions that need to be met for your plot to be flagged for deletion.
According to the Discord post from the team, there are two sets of conditions that will need to be adhered to. Here’s what you need to know:
First set of conditions
- The character that owns the plot has not been active in the past 28 days (since July 22).
- The character that owns the plot has played for less than 120 minutes in total.
- The total number of crafting events on the plot is less than 50 overall, AND the number of crafting events in the past month is less than 20, AND the number of crafting events in the past 2 weeks is less than 2. To repeat: all points need to be met to qualify for deletion.
- The total number of pieces placed on the plot is less than 40, AND the number of pieces added in the past month is less than 20, AND the number of pieces added in the past 2 weeks is less than 2. To repeat: all points need to be met to qualify for deletion.
- AND the character owning the plot is not part of any clan or part of a clan with two or more members.
This second set of criteria is NOT cumulative with the first set.
Second set of conditions
- The total number of pieces on the plot is 0, AND the number of pieces added in the past month is 0.
- The total number of crafting events on the plot is 0, AND the number of crafting events in the past month is 0.
- AND the character owning the plot is not part of any clan or part of a clan with two or more members.
The team has warned that if you think you fall into any of these condition sets, you should log in and build or craft something on your plot in order to keep your place. You must do this by August 19th, ahead of the August 21st plot deletion. Any players that have been inactive with minimal activity or if the plot in question has been inactive, you should expect that your plot may be up for deletion and you should log in and tinker around if having an active plot is meaningful for you.
Pax Dei is currently seeing about 1500 steam players daily, down from their 11K player peak at launch. As an Early Access title, it seems to have found a good niche of players interested in seeing Mainframe Studios bring its vision to fruition.
