The Pax Dei team has been working to address a number of issues since the game entered Early Access. They’re working on the next full update and previewing bears, signs, and more.
Earlier in the week, the team fixed some Discord title issues and an error that was showing that a person's Steam account was already linked when they went to link it. So those issues have been taken care of, but there are still a number of things that the team needs to address, including technical fixes and other stuff that they're looking to fix or make previous fixes last.
The latest announcement on the next patch says that we should expect it sometime in the middle of next week, and it will mostly be more fixes. They’re setting expectations right, since Mainframe has kept updating on the fixes and additional steps that they need in an Early Access build that now has many more people with regular access. “As we know you are eager for new content, our devs responsible for the signs made a point of finishing their implementation before the code freeze,” they included. And they do mean signs. Partly.
In the update on Discord, they included several screenshots of content we can expect on the way, including those signs, a recipe for signs, explicit use of signs, and bears. Well, two of them show bears, and only the first shows alive bears. Black and brown bears, to be precise. In that second screenshot we see the resource drops from hunting bears, so expect recipes (eventually).
And yes, the other preview screenshots really do show signs and a sign recipe. The team was serious about those signs making it into the next patch.
