Pax Dei is Removing Some Items Permanently and Preparing Us Before the Wipe

Pax Dei will be getting its major Proving Grounds update on November 5th, and Mainframe has been busy getting us all up to speed on what we need to know. The latest dev update concerns items that will be disappearing forever when the upcoming wipe happens.

The wipe that is coming will help them to expand the world, reorganize the home valleys and the environments, among many other changes. The wipe will erase all plots and, in many case, move them, so you’ll have to rebuild if you want to once things are back online. For the most part, they’ll restore resources, furnishings, any gear you had, inventory items, all the items from containers that you've placed on your plots, all the crafters, and even components that you've used to make building pieces will be restored.

You will have to rebuild because they don't have blueprints for everything you've created, and they know that this is a request that they are looking towards potentially putting together in the future. A new “secret stash” called  Redeeming queue will show up as shared among all of your characters in the same region with all of that stuff.

There’s a separate FAQ with lots of info on this, yet the team is seemingly picking up on a need to emphasize that some items won’t be coming back. This is just because some items are being removed from the game completely.

In an update on Discord, they list some of the items that are going away, and to let everyone know that, in these cases, the components and crafting materials will also disappear since these things are just being deleted.

“We compiled a non-exhaustive list of these items:

  • Greatswords with the name Zweihander or weapons that share the same visuals
  • Swords with Ira Bene ability
  • All one-handed combat axes
  • All weapons with the following proc:
  • The Mosquito (Any level)
  • The Slug (Any level)

Note that the materials used to craft those will not be returned either.”

It’s Early Access, so of course lots of things are subject to change. Right now, despite saying you couldn’t build in the PvP province Lyonesse, there’s a PvP and building playtest letting you do just that. And it could impact the future of Pax Dei.
