Pax Dei Holding Big PvP Stress Test in Lyonesse Today Before Wilderness Alpha Closes Tomorrow

Pax Dei’s Wilderness Alpha is coming to an end tomorrow, but Mainframe is challenging everyone one last time to try to break their PvP zone, Lyonesse, today.

The team shared a notice in Discord today asking for help with a final stress test. While much of the alpha was for the team to gather new data and feedback on combat and other changes made, the introduction of a PvP-only province and its high risk, high reward mechanics was also vital. So they want you to try and overload Lyonesse.

Lyonesse is specifically set up as a province where you can’t build, and home to rarer resources that could be very lucrative if you survive the trip. While the resources in alpha were very limited, testing the zone has been important to the Pax Dei team, given some of the introductions and community videos we’ve seen over the past few weeks.

If you are available for the special stress test, that will happen today from about 1:00 p.m. Eastern through 3:00 p.m. Eastern in The province on your particular server. With the test ending tomorrow, it’s certainly a lower-risk time to get into the PvP zone, since risking your best gear and getting looted is a concern. Still, the team acknowledges this in a humorous statement saying that, “You can venture forth equipped with nothing more than a pointy stick, a crude shield, and some wood branches in your inventory. You may even choose to face the trial in your undergarments – rest assured, we won't judge!”

Since this is still an alpha, Pax Dei did have some significant server and performance issues that the team addressed in the first few days. This stretched from a server not being tested enough before being sent to support 100k+ players in an alpha test to an overabundance of rabbits spawning and hogging resources.

Now, it’s time to see if PvP can shake the world before the test ends.
