A holiday surprise is on the way for Pax Dei players, as the team announced on its blog that the promised big marketplace content patch will be going live tomorrow. Called the “Market Square” update, the patch introduces gold and item selling stalls, alongside the usual updates and fixes.
As unveiled in a recent blog, the universal gold coin system will be introduced with this system. The new standardized currency system allows players to trade more directly and transparently for items with each other as well as NPCs.
Speaking of trade, the Market Square update, as previously shared, will also introduce Market Stalls for player plots so that players can sell goods to passersby, clan members, and friends. Players can set permissions for these stalls to limit it to certain groups—you can have a stall for clanmates, or one for anyone and everyone who wants a bit of wood—and players can track who bought what with a marketplace log.
As always, this Pax Dei update also comes with fixes and changes throughout the game. There’ll be some combat balancing, visibility of in-world items will be tweaked, and beard and mustache customization will be improved in the character creation screen. Plus, Discord integration UI is being tweaked a bit to make it smoother.
There’ll be no character nor world wipes with this update, so you can get right into these changes. This content update is set to go live tomorrow, December 13, with maintenance starting at about 9 a.m. UTC and going for about two hours.
