Mainframe is talking about Pax Dei’s next major Early Access content update, revealing a goal timeframe, a new feature on the way, as well as some geographical changes that will require a wipe of plots (but not characters).
The goal right now is to get the content update out within a month, but they need a few more weeks to make sure everything is ready, before they can confirm an actual release date. Part of what they are working on is a major change. they're planning to add a new biome, review resource distribution and even change some of the existing locations and add new PVE locations. the update is also going to adjust some of the borders of the Home Valleys.
But wait, aren’t people already building and occupying Home Valley plots? Yes, yes they are. And this is one of the things Mainframe is working on. You'll get to keep your characters, but because they're making these big changes, they'll have to release and wipe all the plots, because a lot of the locations where they're currently located are going to be transformed. They’ve reassured the community that they’re looking to minimize losses. “Fear not, the content of your plot won’t be lost: we’re working on a mechanism that will allow us to transfer it back to their owners after the update.”
The team revealed the Journal, a “go-to resource for crafting” that helps you kep track of combat and crafting skill progression, as well as be a kind of encyclopedia of new information to help you along in your gameplay experience. It will hold all the recipes you unlock, all ingredients you've picked up, as well as those that known recipes require. You'll be able to see what recipes you're capable of creating right now, so no more searching through your inventory to make sure you have everything. Click on ingredients within a recipe to get more info. New recipe unlock notifications will link to instructions on which crafting table you need, details, and ingredients.
The Journal will also help crafting in other ways. You can sort and filter recipes to find what you need based on a number of criteria, and eventually, you'll be able to pin recipes to keep them at the top of the list.
With these new features and the changes to the map, we can expect more details soon.
