Pax Dei Announces Extensive Wipe is Coming Since the Next Update Changes So Much

Due to the extensive changes expected in Pax Dei’s next big update, “Verse 3”, which is expected by late June, Mainframe has announced a wide-ranging wipe that Early Access players should prepare for.

The degree of changes were revealed in the most recent roadmap update and involve core systems, like combat skills, crafting and gear progression, and changes to the world itself. The team plans to detail all of the changes in a series of previews leading up to Verse 3’s release. The upcoming wipe will also serve as another round of inactive plot cleanup. 

Almost all aspects of the game will be touched in this wipe. any plots you've set and items on those plots, inventory items, gear, clans, and even a reset of all combat skills. They may also reset some or all crafting skills. Gold and Grace will remain. With a wipe of this size, they will compensate for a wide variety of items. Mainframe shared a list in the wipe announcement and said their plans may change between now and then. Items will be removed from the game completely, and there are a number of  decisions they're still making.

Since the world is changing, including the presence of more Home Valleys in each province, each server will actually have more capacity. There will be one shard per region until the need arises to open more. 

After the wipe and the update is live, you’ll need to choose a new plot location. Character names and appearances will remain, but you'll have to start over in a lot of ways. 

This is planned as the final wipe before the final wipe before Pax Dei exits Early Access. That one will wipe everything completely so the launch is a total fresh start for players and the world.
