Grinding Gear Games have given us a glimpse into what we can expect from them and Path of Exile for the remainder of 2020.
With Harvest League underway, the team has paused for a moment to provide some detail on what we can expect from them. They note that since Harvest required 14 weeks of development instead of the normal 13, the schedule will have to change a bit.
To that end, the team plans to launch their 3.12 September expansion 12 weeks after their recent launch of Harvest. This means that the December expansion potentially start earlier. However, this may change given the uncertain circumstances of the world right now.
They also want to make a port available on MacOS, citing their Vulkan release on PC as necessary for a Mac version. Path of Exile 2 was touched on too, with their previously hinted at 2020 beta not going to happen this year, but,
“We have been focusing on keeping our leagues coming out as close to on time as possible, and this does mean some delays for the sequel. We are looking forward to our next announcement about its upcoming content, and we'll keep piling on any technology improvements we can make into the existing Path of Exile client.”
