Grinding Gear Games has deployed patch 3.25.2 to Path of Exile, bringing changes to the game’s account system in order to facilitate Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2’s sharing of microtransactions and to support Cross Play for Path of Exile 2 across its various platforms.

The downtime was scheduled for four hours, but ended up taking around six hours to resolve. Of course, this is all leading up to the Early Access release of Path of Exile 2, which was recently delayed three weeks to December 6 from its previous date of November 15.  This isn’t the first delay for the game, either. Grinding Gear Games had originally planned to release a beta for PoE 2 in summer 2024, but then shifted to “late 2024” before announcing the game would release into Early Access on November 15. Hopefully this is the last delay.

Recently, Grinding Gear Games released a 30+ minute gameplay video to tide eagerly waiting players over. The video features PoE 2 game director Jonathan Rogers walking Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida through the game at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The video gives players a closer look at the Mercenary class as well as a variety of the game’s maps, skills, and bosses.
