Path of Exile Extends Legacy of Phrecia to Late April, Offers Estimate on 3.26 Timing

Path of Exile’s Legacy of Phrecia event has been extended, continuing the event with 19 Ascendancies to experiment with, sometimes to quirky effect, through April 23rd. Grinding Gear Games has also offered an estimate for the next expansion release.

The team has been hard at work to improve Path of Exile 2, admitting that they had overcommitted to the sequel’s development to get it out in Early Access. This has meant a combination of asking for patience with Path of Exile while they continue to improve PoE 2 and some measures like Legacy of Phrecia.

After the event does end, the team will also release Private League templates for free for anyone who wants to continue experimenting with the event content.

As for the next expansion release, in the event extension post, they say they have “solid plans” for 3.26. “We would also like to share a tentative timeline for the 3.26 expansion. We are looking to launch the expansion in June, so you might expect us to begin talking about it some time after the end of Legacy of Phrecia.”

While this isn’t a fixed window just yet, it is a window. We still have months to go to see the next big content update, but it seems like the GGG team is looking for ways to at least make things fun and keep everyone informed.

What this update also does is give us an idea when we might start hearing about those solid plans. With Legacy of Phrecia running until late April, it looks like early May is when we'll hear more.
