There will be an Alternate Start Duos event taking place this weekend in Path of Exile. Here are the rules if you want to take part.

The event weekend will be hosted by Community Race Organizers Brittleknee and Rex. Day One will start on October 23 at 9p PDT with Day Two beginning on October 24 on 9p PDT. Day One will include character creation and will end after five hours.

Additionally, Day One progression will be caped before A10 Kitava, in addition to 437 million XP. This will equate to level 72 + 10% of the way to level 73. Day Two starts with A10 Kitava at level 72 and will conclude when five duos have successfully taken down Awakener at Awakening level 5.

Some additional rules include:

  • You do not have to be in the boss Arena together unless you want to be.
  • Cull is permitted, but Ascendancies cannot be changed from initial Ascension.
  • If racers want to engage in normal Heist League content during race downtime, they will need to join the race under a racing account.
  • Profiles must be public for the account that racers are using in the event.
  • If an account is found to be online during downtime, if gear changes, or if XP changes, the duo will be disqualified.

There will be a $1000 cash prize pool provided by Rex which breaks out as follows:

  • 1st: 40%
  • 2nd: 25%
  • 3rd: 20%
  • 4th: 10%
  • 5th: 5%
