Grinding Gear Games announced that future updates to Path of Exile 2 will improve loot drops, among other changes to make the game more accessible and approachable in terms of content. This information came through an official blog post via the Path of Exile website, which fully outlined some of the changes that will be made over time.
Loot drops in Path of Exile 2 will see three changes through subsequent updates. This includes mitigating “unlucky streaks” from bosses, increasing the quality of drops from bosses, and lastly, improving drops from monsters possessed by Azmerian Wisps.
Corrupted Nexuses will be modified as well, with the amount of Nexuses completed in order to obtain all Atlas Passive Points reduced, along with improving visibility on the Atlas Map. The difficulty of Simulacrums will be lowered to make Pinnacle content more accessible as well. Grinding Gear Games stated that these changes will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
The most recent Path of Exile 2 update appeared on April 4, 2025, which added an entirely new class to the game — the Huntress. Alongside this, new Ascendancy Classes were made available, which included the likes of the Lich, Tactician, The Ritualist, Amazon, and Smith of Kitava. The Huntress and the five Ascendancy Classes are immediately available to play as.
