Path of Exile 2 got a new data analyst, hired straight out of the community. To mark the occasion, they are sharing some stats from a week of Early Access.
Lilylicious, as a data analyst, goes over data from game logs, and now here we have a snapshot of what Early Access was like from February 18th to the 25th.
The most played Ascendancy classes were Invoker and Stormweaver, both at 19.4%, followed by Infernalist at 16.45%. Average player level had a mean of 75 and a median of 89. Gold was dropping at a rate of 1.5 million per second, filling everyone’s pockets to a tune of 899 billion. with all of this, there were 14.5 million player deaths.

The blog presenting the data also includes an infographic on class breakdown, showing the rest of the numbers even down to those classes that were chosen by less than 2%. The least played?, Acolyte of Chayula, at 1.15% .
Check out the initial snapshot, and know that it won’t be the last. “Pulling this info from the logs was quite time consuming, which is why we've just done a one week snapshot. We're keen to post more stats like these in the future, and are developing tools to let us do so more easily and comprehensively.”
They’ve already improved things to take less time, so we may see more very soon.
