Path of Exile 2 developer Grinding Gear Games has officially announced when to expect information on the upcoming Early Access for the game.
Per a statement on the game’s X (formerly Twitter), entry to early access will be available for players who purchase a supporter pack, which will contain a key. Players who have met a minimum threshold of “lifetime support” in the first game will also be invited to take part in early access for the sequel without needing to buy a supporter pack.
There will be a developer livestream with more details “in about a month from now”, with lots of Early Access details, according to the post. This stream will also reveal those supporter packs in detail.
Late last month, we spoke to the designer for skill and character builds at Grinding Gear Games, Christopher Laferriere, about how the developer plans to make the game an improvement on the original. Among several other things, Laferriere mentioned that he and the team are particularly proud of the boss's design, stating that he’s always seeing the monster designer team working on a boss that “does some crazy, weird, wacky thing”.
Early access for the title will begin November 15th, with the early access date being revealed in August during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024.
