Months ago, Papaya Play was announced as the new global publisher for Echo of Soul, with plans to take over by summer. While the deal did go through this summer, it’s only now that the official relaunch is here. There are official re-launch events going on and character transfers get another push before they close at the end of the month.
Echo of Soul has a new global publisher and a transition period for existing account holders. There are even some bonuses to tempt those on the fence. Those who’ve played Echo of Soul under previous publishing agreements under Gamigo and Aeria Games, are now eligible for character transfers. While the transition opened at the end of July, things have been ramping up, since they’re only open through the end of this month.
In order to tempt over anyone who might still be on the fence, there are special launch events for the new version. Those players who log in regularly during the first month are eligible to claim and receive about $5 in game currency each week. There are additional relaunch boost events happening every day through October 12th. There's even a special login rewards bonus event just for transferred characters over level 50.
Echo of Soul was originally released back in 2017. The game was created, in part, by developers from the Lineage II team. Papaya Play is taking over a game with lots of content already out, including 60 dungeons, 1,600 quests, and lots of PvP opportunities along with an existing community. There’s no surprise that the company is working to retain as many players as possible with these relaunch events and continuing to make the transfer options known.
